- I'm a 54-year-old gay man in a committed relationship for eighteen years. In November 2008 I was laid off by a privately held global telecommunications corporation based in the United States after a thirty-one year career. I returned to work in March 2009 for the American subsidiary of a global telecommunication company based in Paris. I was subsequently laid off in July of 2009. I now have a contract position with an IT outsourcing company headquartered in Mumbai. I’m HIV and am currently in remission after cancer treatment.
