There’s another round of scraping and building about to start. All of these houses are being torn down in the next 2 months. Buyers are spending unbelievable amounts of cash to get the land. They only care about the size of the lot and the location. They don’t care about the house. When a house sells it’s not a matter of if it will get torn down, but rather, how soon in will be scrapped.

Yes I can see how those houses would be torn down. Though I am not a fan of Monster homes. Deep pockets for all those projects.
Larry – deep pockets, indeed.
It just seems a waste when folks want to build new, the new materials are designed only for 30 to 40 years with first repairs at 10 years.
My home will be 100 next year, its is still going strong, with a little bit of fix this and repair that along the way.
TW – it’s very sad to see all these housed get torn down.
Patience above! All that money. It makes my eyes cross.
Wow, some of those homes don’t need to be torn down. Perhaps just updated.
John Michael – I agree.
